AI Changes the Map, Not the Mission
AI is reshaping the opportunity landscape in real time. Our job is to track where it is opening doors — and where it is closing them.
The AI conversation in the opportunity space has produced a lot of heat and not yet enough light. The predictions are sweeping — entire job categories disappearing, new roles that do not yet exist becoming dominant, the credential system being rendered obsolete. Some of these predictions will be right. Most will be wrong in their timing and specificity, as technological predictions usually are.
What is not speculation is that AI tools are already changing what a number of jobs require, what they pay, and who is positioned to perform them. These changes are happening now, and they are creating real winners and losers in the labor market — often without the workers most affected having clear information about what is happening or why.
